The questions worth asking first.
Straight answers about what NOVOLIG does today. Where something is not built, the answer says so.

A desktop application for running a business: products, inventory, customers, suppliers, quotations, sales orders and purchasing, with only the modules you use switched on.
Any business that keeps a catalogue and sells from it — retail, wholesale, distribution, hardware, jewellery, grocery, electronics, automotive, fashion, services and more. The units, attributes and customer types are yours to define, which is what lets one application fit all of them.
No. The demonstration workspace on this site happens to be a hardware business, because hardware exercises the units and packaging behaviour hardest. Nothing in the application is specific to it: there is no hardware module, no jewellery module and no automotive module. There is one system, and you decide the vocabulary it uses.
Yes — a real desktop application rather than a browser tab. It opens on what it already knows, with no network call blocking launch, and is built for people who keep it open all day.
Yes. Your records live on the NOVOLIG server, so the same workspace opens on any machine you have activated and nothing has to be synced by hand. The licence keeps working through a short offline window, but recording and reading work needs a connection.

Yes. Stock is counted per location — store, godown, branch, showroom or anything else you name — and you can transfer between them. A transfer writes both halves into the ledger, so nothing is invented in the move. Zones and bins inside a location are part of the Warehouses module, which is still being built.
Yes, and the conversion belongs to the product rather than the unit, because a box holds six of one thing and twelve of another. Each product declares a base unit and the alternates it is bought and sold in, with a factor for each. Stock is stored in the base unit while every screen accepts whichever unit you are holding, and the movement records what you typed alongside what was stored.
Yes. You define the attributes that exist in your business — colour, size, weight, purity, capacity, finish — and choose which of them a product varies by. Each variant carries its own stock, barcode and price, and can be quoted, ordered, received and counted in its own right, while all of them remain one product.
Yes, both, with types you define yourself rather than a fixed list. Customers carry contact and tax details, terms, credit limit, currency and a price level; suppliers carry their own prices and currency, and which products they supply. Trading history sits on the account.
Yes. Line discounts and mixed tax bands, totalled so that subtotal minus discount plus tax equals the total exactly, with a validity window and deliberate status transitions. Quotations print on your own letterhead, and an accepted one converts into a sales order.
Yes. Confirming an order reserves stock without moving it, so your available figure already accounts for what has been promised. Fulfilling part of an order writes that movement to the ledger and leaves the rest reserved.
Yes. A purchase order records the plan; receiving against it is the event that puts stock on the shelf, in whatever unit it arrived in. Partial receipts are supported and the order stays open for the balance.

Yes, and the sidebar is generated from whichever ones are on. Switching a module off removes it from navigation and stops new work in it; existing records are untouched, and switching it back on returns you to exactly what you left. Nothing is deleted either way.
You enter a licence key once. It is verified against the licence server and the activation is bound to that machine; the key itself is never stored, only a hash of it. From then on the application opens on local state without waiting for the network, and re-checks in the background. A licence that is withdrawn stops working at its next check-in rather than at the end of a grace window.
Standard covers products, inventory, units, locations, customers and suppliers. Pro adds quotations, sales orders and purchasing. Entitlements belong to the plan and are enforced by the database rather than the interface, so changing tier applies everywhere at once.
Not yet. Documents print to A4 on your own letterhead today, and payments, WhatsApp delivery and an assistant are registered as future modules. We would rather ship them than list them.
