Software should adapt to the business. Not the other way round.
Most business software arrives with its own opinions about how you should work — its own units, its own categories, its own words for your customers. NOVOLIG is built on the opposite assumption.
Why it exists
A business that has run for twenty years has already worked out how it wants to operate. It knows what it calls its customers, which units it buys and sells in, and which parts of the process actually matter. Then the software arrives and asks it to start again — in someone else's categories, with a fixed list of fields, and half a screen of features it will never open.
The usual answer is either an implementation project that reshapes the business around the software, or a spreadsheet that reshapes nothing and remembers nothing. Neither is a good trade.
NOVOLIG is the attempt at a third answer: one application whose vocabulary and shape are configuration rather than assumption. You declare the units your products come in, the attributes they vary by, the words you file people under, and the modules you work in. Everything else is the same underneath — one catalogue, one ledger, one set of documents — so it stays consistent while it stays yours.
Four things that shape every decision
Your vocabulary, not ours
Units, product attributes, customer and supplier types are defined per workspace. A jeweller and a fastener merchant open the same application and find two different tools.
Only the parts you use
Modules are switched on per business, and the sidebar is generated from whichever ones are on. Switching one off never deletes anything.
Numbers you can defend
Stock is an append-only ledger and money reconciles at every step. If a figure looks wrong, the record explains how it got that way.
Say what is built
Modules that are not finished say so, in the application and on this site. Nothing here describes something that does not exist yet.
Being built in the open
Products, inventory, customers, suppliers, quotations, sales orders and purchasing are built and working. Warehouse zones and analytics are entitled on Pro and still in progress — their pages in the application say exactly that. Payments, WhatsApp delivery and an assistant are registered in the module catalogue and nothing more. When they ship, this page will say so; until then it will not.
